Integration of Change

I wrote this poem while integrating some pretty big emotions about my work situation and my life. I am currently moving through an immense period of transition and change - becoming ok with what is moving in my life is one of my greatest struggles. As someone who used to fear change, I feel whenever the time comes for a change - I tend to call in gentle surrender. An immense thank you to one of my great mentors and teachers Mildred Monique for opening up that channelled pathways of understanding to how important it is to allow the Universe take you to what it has planned for you and to balance that with healthy understandings of what you want and desire from the situation.

I have experienced so much in my short time here on Earth - but it is through my heartful writing integrations, I hope to share the wisdom gleaned from these situations.

Politics and work can often feel quite synonymous - a different stage for a character of the same name.

A version of me that struggles in fear - that others might leave me.

That I need love to enter my being from the outside, when indeed we are a seed that needs to begin within.

A voice that says "we are doing an incredible job",

"I am so proud of how far we have come and how much we have grown into the truth of our immensity"

"Every step is a step in the right direction, to the depth and breadth of it all".

For all we've grown, strong and gentle - stable and no longer blind to the desires within -

the cries that plead from fragments within my skin - "please see me", "I'm sorry, its not my fault".

Knowing that we can be everything and more that we look for in others, in the stories on our screen, the smells of home cooked meals and warming comfort of our beds.

Anticipation for the multiplication of blessings that manifest in the wild uncertainty.

Moments where we return to now -

take up space in your bones.

Stand taller, stand prouder - earth between your toes.

To be in and amongst a magic that always overflows,

an outpouring of love, growing and glowing -

filling our hearts.

Now that's where the real fun begins.
